Results From Our NTU Rodeo Team This Past Weekend
Results from this past weekend for our NTU Rodeo Team at Mesalands College Rodeo October 14-15, 2016. Our team did not get points. Our team is working hard. This was the last rodeo for the Fall 2016 season. In the Spring 2017, our Rodeo Team will have 7 more rodeos.

 

Results From Our NTU Cross Country Men and Women Team This Past Weekend
Results from this past weekend for our NTU Cross Country Team at AZ Christian Invite. The Men's Team placed 2nd. Congrats to our team. Our Women's Team did the best they could.

 

Results From Our NTU Archery Team This Past Weekend
Results from this past weekend for our NTU Archery Team at the 3D Championship. NTU Placed 3rd in Team Recurve Combined Jared Tunney, Keanu Jones, and Shawn Francis.

NTU placed 1st Shawn Francis and 3rd Kenau Jones in Basic Bow. NTU placed 4th in Medal Standing at 3D Intercollegiate Archery Championship.

We want to thank all the volunteers and participants at our event. Our event went very well. This was Navajo Technical University's first Collegiate Cross Country event hosted in Crownpoint, New Mexico. NTU Men and Women teams placed 2nd in the meet. Congrats to both of the teams.

Cochise College Rodeo Results
Here are the results from our NTU Rodeo Team this past weekend at Cochise College Rodeo September 23 - 24, 2016

  • Travis Silversmith scored 77pts in bull-riding and placed second in 1st performance
  • Taven Chavez / Tyson Charley placed 2nd with 8.5 second in their team-roping event 1st performance
  • Taven Chavez / Tyson Charley placed 1st with 7.3 second in their roping event - Short Go. Taven Chavez / Tyson Charley finish 1st in Team Roping 15.8 seconds on 2 runs
  • Travis Silversmith and all Bull Riders bucked off in short go. Travis Silversmith finish 2nd in Bull-Riding

They will be traveling to Tucumcari, NM to compete in Mesalands College Rodeo October 14-15, 2016

Here are the results from our NTU Rodeo Team this past weekend at Diné College Rodeo September 16-17, 2016

  • Jerrison Begay scored 27pts in bull-riding and placed 4th in 1st performance
  • Jay Becenti and Shawn Murphy placed 3rd with 8.2 second in their team-roping event 1st performance
  • Even though we did not do well in short go. We are proud of our Rodeo Team

NTU teams have goals to place in their conference, regional, and national championships in a variety of sports. Winning teams have become a tradition at NTU in both men’s and women’s sports. Community support for intercollegiate athletics at NTU has been outstanding. The caliber of coaching, the quality of uniforms and equipment, the training and medical facilities, and the opportunity to play against good competition are superior.
