Athletic Director George LaFrance would like to thank all the staff, students, and sponsors that helped with the rodeo this past weekend.

Here are the individual and team results from the Navajo Technical College Rodeo April 1 – 2, 2016.
Results for our NTU Athletes:

  • Soshane Kee scored 63 points in bronc riding and placed sixth in Short Go performance.
  • Jared Pino in Steer Wrestling placed fourth with a 7.1 in Short Go performance and in the average he placed fifth.

Our Rodeo Team will be traveling to Tucumcari, NM to compete in the Mesalands College Rodeo April 22 – 23, 2016

NTU College Rodeo Full Results

Our NTU Rodeo Team came in 1st place at the University of Arizona College Rodeo.

  • Benji Sam came in 1st place in Team Roping.
  • Tyson Charley and Jay Becenti came in 3rd place in Team Roping.
  • Jared Pino came in 3rd place in Steer Wrestling.

NTU teams have goals to place in their conference, regional, and national championships in a variety of sports. Winning teams have become a tradition at NTU in both men’s and women’s sports. Community support for intercollegiate athletics at NTU has been outstanding. The caliber of coaching, the quality of uniforms and equipment, the training and medical facilities, and the opportunity to play against good competition are superior.
